Introduction
wanwave’s trash bin monitoring solution allows administrators to optimize waste management processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. By deploying wireless sensors to monitor the fill level and status of trash bins, administrators can streamline waste collection schedules, minimize overflow incidents, and even monitor dumpster fires.
Key aspects of using wanwave’s waste bin monitoring solution include:
Real-Time Fill Level Monitoring: wanwave‘s sensors continuously monitor the fill level of trash bins in real time, providing administrators with accurate data on waste accumulation. This real-time information enables administrators to optimize waste collection routes, schedule pickups more efficiently, and avoid unnecessary trips to underutilized bins, reducing operational costs and vehicle emissions.
Overflow Prevention: The waste bin monitoring system helps administrators prevent overflow incidents and maintain cleanliness in public spaces or facilities. By receiving alerts when bins reach capacity, administrators can take proactive measures to empty bins promptly, preventing littering, odors, and pest infestations, and ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for occupants and visitors.
Seamless Integration: wanwave’s trash bin monitoring system can be seamlessly and easily integrated with waste management software, fleet management systems, and smart city platforms.
Mode of Operation
wanwave’s waste bin sensors are deployed on all monitored waste containers. The sensors are sealed, all-weather designed, have an extremely durable body, and are certified IP67. In addition, the sensors can be used with any type of waste container:
The sensors are completely autonomous, with a built-in battery designed to support the transmission of 50,000 messages, which is equivalent to 5 years of operation when transmitting messages once an hour.
The transmitted information is received by the network gateways which automate the reception and transmission of messages between end devices and the wanwave server. They are deployable in both stationary and mobile settings.
