Description
The wanwave Garbage Bin Sensor is a state-of-the-art device that uses infrared (IR) technology to monitor the filling level of waste containers. The sensor consists of two sealed parts, one of which emits periodic IR illumination towards the opposite wall of the container, while the other receives the lighting and transmits a radio signal indicating the filling level. The parts are placed on the container walls at a height of 10-20 cm from the top edge, and can be configured for both inside and outside placement. Using the IR shutter principle, the sensor periodically checks the overlap of the IR emitters’ conditional horizontal plane, and if most of it is blocked for more than 5 minutes, the sensor determines the container is full.
The back of the sensor features a QR code that enables easy linking to various monitoring systems of service providers. Additionally, wanwave provides a cloud-based software solution that is perfect for commercial customers who require reliable monitoring of their waste containers. Our software allows you to create a multi-level map and link sensors to specific container sites. With our user-friendly online platform, you can easily track the current state of each container and the entire site on the map, and generate detailed reports on container fullness, service dates and times, and potential violations of export regulations.
