RS-485 Modem
MRS485-10
The MRS485-10 connects compatible equipment and sensors with an RS-485 interface to the wanwave LPWAN network. It enables data from connected devices to be transmitted wirelessly to a wanwave gateway, helping teams monitor existing equipment remotely without extending a wired network to each location.
Powered by a 3.6 V lithium thionyl chloride battery with a five-year battery life, the modem operates without an external power connection. Its compact, IP68-rated enclosure measures 89 × 80 × 48 mm and weighs 255 g, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C.

Connectivity & integration
MRS485-10 connects compatible RS-485 equipment to wanwave’s proprietary network through a compatible gateway. The gateway forwards the data to wanwave monitoring platforms or your existing IT systems. Compatibility with the connected device’s data protocol must be confirmed for the deployment. The modem operates on battery power; connected equipment may require its own power supply.
